Indulgent French toast sandwich filled with cream cheese, chocolate hazelnut spread, and coated in Cinnamon Toast Crunch® cereal, cooked in a waffle iron. Enjoy it as a decadent breakfast treat!
Ingredients:
  • 1/4 cup hazelnut spread with cocoa
  • 4 slices white bread
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese spread
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup Cinnamon Toast Crunch™ cereal
Instructions:
  • Spread hazelnut spread on 2 slices of bread. Spread cream cheese on the other 2 slices of bread. Press one of each together, filling sides together, to make 2 sandwiches.
  • Combine the egg, milk, sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon in a shallow bowl, stirring until well blended. Crush the cereal and transfer it to a separate shallow dish.
  • Preheat the waffle maker and lightly grease it with vegetable oil or shortening. Dip both sides of a sandwich in the egg mixture, then coat both sides with crushed cereal by gently patting it in place. Place the sandwich on the waffle maker, close the lid, and cook for 2 to 4 minutes until golden brown. Carefully remove the waffle sandwich and repeat with the second sandwich. Cut the sandwiches into triangles and serve.
