Treat mom on Mother's Day with a scrumptious strawberry hazelnut french toast sandwich topped with creamy goodness.
Ingredients:
  • 1 Sweet Brioche loaf, cut into 8 slices
  • 110g hazelnuts
  • 250g punnet strawberries, thickly sliced
  • 2 Free Range Eggs
  • 80ml milk
  • 1.25 gm mixed spice
  • 40g butter, chopped
  • Dollop cream, to serve
  • Strawberries, extra, to serve
Instructions:
  • Lay out half of the brioche on a clean surface. Spread with the luscious hazelnut spread, then add the juicy strawberry. Finish by creating a delightful brioche sandwich with the remaining slices.
  • Combine the eggs, milk, and mixed spice in a medium bowl and whisk until well blended.
  • In a large frying pan over medium heat, melt half of the butter. Dip 2 sandwiches into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are coated. Cook each side for 2 mins or until golden brown. Serve on plates. Clean the pan and repeat the process with the remaining butter, sandwiches, and egg mixture.
  • Top the French toast sandwiches with a dollop of cream and a generous amount of fresh strawberries for an indulgent finish.
