Healthier, chewy oatmeal raisin cookies with whole wheat flour, less sugar, and butter. Irresistible!
Ingredients:
  • 0.75 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.75 cup white whole wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 0.5 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 0.25 cup white sugar
  • 3 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup raisins
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C), then mix together all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves, and salt in a bowl.
  • In a large bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until smooth using an electric mixer. Add eggs one at a time, ensuring each egg is fully incorporated before adding the next. Blend in vanilla extract with the final egg. Gently mix in the flour mixture until just combined. Fold in rolled oats and raisins until evenly distributed. Shape dough into walnut-sized balls and arrange them 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets.
  • Bake until light golden, 10 to 12 minutes in preheated oven. Cool for 2 minutes, then transfer to wire rack to cool completely. Store in airtight container.
