Healthier and fun alternative to deep-fried corn dogs: Air fryer corn dogs.
Ingredients:
  • 6 bamboo skewers, soaked in water 20 minutes
  • parchment paper
  • 1 (6.5 ounce) package corn bread mix
  • 0.66666668653488 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon white sugar
  • 8 hot dogs, cut in half
Instructions:
  • Trim soaked bamboo skewers into thirds. Cut a piece of parchment paper to fit the air fryer basket.
  • Preheat the air fryer to a sizzling 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  • Combine the cornbread mix, milk, egg, and sugar in a bowl and whisk until the batter is smooth. Transfer the mixture into a tall glass.
  • Skewer each hot dog piece. Line the air fryer basket with parchment paper. Dip 4 hot dogs in the batter, then arrange them in the basket, alternating the direction of the skewers.
  • Air-fry hot dogs without flipping in a preheated air fryer for 8 minutes or until they reach your desired level of brownness. Transfer to a plate and continue with the remaining hot dogs.
