Air Fryer Corn Nuts

Air-fried corn nuts: Crunchy, salty snack with minimal oil, customizable with spices.
Ingredients:
  • 14 ounces giant white corn (such as Goya®)
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1.5 teaspoons salt
Instructions:
  • Assemble all ingredients.
  • In a large bowl, submerge the corn in water and allow it to rehydrate for 8 hours to overnight.
  • 1. Drain the corn and arrange it in a single layer on a large baking sheet. Dab it dry with paper towels and let it air-dry for 20 minutes.
  • Preheat the air fryer to a crispy 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  • In a large bowl, combine corn with oil and salt, stirring until well coated.
  • In batches, arrange corn evenly in the air fryer basket and air fry for 10 minutes. Shake, air fry for another 10 minutes, then shake again and air fry for 5 minutes. Transfer corn nuts to a paper towel-lined plate. Repeat with the rest of the corn.
  • Let corn nuts cool until crispy for about 20 minutes before serving.
