Indulge in irresistible Heath Bar cookies - chewy toffee cookies loaded with chocolate and walnuts. Ready in just an hour, these gooey treats are a decadent twist on a beloved candy bar.
Ingredients:
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped Heath Bar pieces (Eight 1.4 ounce bars)
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions:
  • Combine the flour, salt, and baking soda in a medium bowl and whisk vigorously. Set aside. In another bowl, mix the Heath Bar pieces and chopped walnuts. Set aside.
  • In a large bowl, whip together the butter, brown sugar, white sugar, and vanilla until creamy. Gradually add the eggs one by one, mixing well after each addition. Enjoy the sweet aroma as you create a luscious base for your recipe.
  • Prepare and chill the dough: Gradually add the flour mixture in thirds, beating thoroughly after each addition. Stir in the Heath bar and walnut mixture. Refrigerate the cookie dough for a minimum of 30 minutes (ideally for an hour or more).
  • To start, preheat the oven to 350°F. Next, on lined cookie sheets, use a spoon to drop small 1-inch diameter dough balls (resembling large marbles), spacing them 3 inches apart. Ensure ample space between the balls as they spread while baking.
  • Bake at 350°F for 10 to 12 minutes, until the edges turn golden brown. Let the cookies cool for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Enjoy your freshly baked cookies!
