Fluffy cranberry scones using vanilla yogurt for a unique twist on a classic recipe.
Ingredients:
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 6 tablespoons cold unsalted butter
  • 0.5 cup vanilla yogurt
  • 0.5 cup fresh cranberries
  • 1 tablespoon turbinado sugar, or to taste
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and lightly grease a baking sheet.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Add cold butter and use 2 knives or a pastry blender to cut it in until the mixture looks like coarse crumbs. Mix in yogurt and cranberries.
  • Shape dough into a ball and transfer to the baking sheet. Flatten into a 1/4 to 1/2-inch thick circle. Sprinkle with sugar and slice into 8 pieces.
  • Bake until edges are slightly crisp and top is browned, about 20 minutes. Then, take out of the oven and redefine the cut marks.
