Ingredients:
  • 2.5 pounds lean ground beef
  • 1 cup water
  • 0.5 cup tomato sauce
  • 0.33333334326744 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 0.5 tablespoon salt
  • 0.5 tablespoon pepper
  • crushed red pepper flakes to taste
Instructions:
  • In a Dutch oven over medium heat, break apart ground beef. Add water and use a potato masher to thoroughly mash the beef. Mix in tomato sauce, ketchup, sugar, chili powder, salt, and pepper; bring to a boil. Lower the heat and simmer until the sauce thickens, about 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
