Make quick and flavorful hickory-smoked chicken wings in your smoker.
Ingredients:
  • 4 pounds frozen chicken wings
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 0.125 teaspoon salt
  • 0.125 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • hickory wood chips, soaked
  • 1 (18 ounce) bottle barbecue sauce, or as needed
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C), then line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the frozen chicken wings on top.
  • Roast in the preheated oven for 1 hour.
  • Combine paprika, chili powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper in a small bowl.
  • Ensure the chicken wings are evenly coated with the spice mixture. Arrange the wings in a single layer on wire racks, then transfer them to the smoker along with hickory wood chips following the manufacturer's guidelines. Smoke the wings for approximately 1 hour until fully cooked to an internal temperature of 165 degrees F (74 degrees C), as indicated by an instant-read thermometer near the bone.
  • Place the smoked wings in a large bowl and coat them evenly in barbecue sauce.
