Mesquite Smoked Jerky

Homemade beef jerky with store-bought taste. Switch up with hickory-smoked flavoring if preferred.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 0.5 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons mesquite flavored liquid smoke concentrate
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ground paprika
  • 1 pound beef eye of round sliced into 1/4 inch strips
Instructions:
  • Combine soy sauce, brown sugar, liquid smoke, garlic, paprika, and salt in a glass baking dish. Arrange beef strips in a single layer over the marinade. Cover and chill in the fridge for at least 6 hours.
  • Place the beef strips in a dehydrator until they reach your preferred level of dryness, approximately 6 hours.
