Hoisin prawn kebabs

Whip up a quick Chinese glaze perfect for any meat dish.
Ingredients:
  • 12 green prawns, peeled
  • 117.98 gm honey
  • 89.10 gm hoisin sauce
  • 65.63 gm soy sauce
  • 2 tsp Chinese five spice
Instructions:
  • Prepare the glaze by combining 1/3 cup honey, 1/3 cup hoisin sauce, 1/4 cup soy sauce, and 2 teaspoons Chinese five spice in a saucepan. Stir over low heat for 2 minutes, then increase to medium heat and simmer for 3-4 minutes until the glaze thickens.
  • Preheat a barbecue flat plate over medium-high heat. Skewer 12 peeled green prawns on metal or soaked bamboo skewers. Cook each side for 2 minutes. Lower the heat to medium, brush with glaze, and cook each side for 30 seconds to 1 minute until glossy and charred.
