Fresh juicy blueberry filling for the perfect pie, not overly sweet or starchy, ready for your favorite crust.
Ingredients:
  • 4 pints fresh blueberries, divided
  • 0.25 cup white sugar
  • 0.25 cup water
  • 1.5 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons cold butter, cut into pieces
Instructions:
  • In a saucepan, combine 3 pints blueberries with sugar, water, cornstarch, and cinnamon. Cook over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture slightly thickens, about 10-15 minutes.
  • Take the saucepan off the heat and delicately mix in the butter and the remaining 1 pint of blueberries, ensuring the blueberries remain intact. Let it cool down.
