Ingredients:
  • 3 tablespoons salted butter
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup chicken stock
  • 0.5 cup milk
Instructions:
  • In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Whisk in flour vigorously until mixture thickens, about 2 minutes.
  • Pour in the chicken stock and whisk until smooth. Stir in the milk and bring to a simmer. Cook, stirring occasionally, until thickened, for 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Season with a pinch of salt and freshly ground black pepper off the heat.
