"Nutritious homemade dog food made with brown rice, beef, veggies, eggs, and rosemary – a tasty treat for your furry friend!"
Ingredients:
  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 6 cups water, or more as needed
  • 4 cups uncooked brown rice
  • 1 pound assorted beef bones (shin, shank, short ribs, or marrow bones)
  • 1 (15 ounce) can sliced carrots, drained
  • 1 (13.5 ounce) can spinach, drained
  • 1 (15 ounce) can pumpkin puree
Instructions:
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown and crumble the ground beef for 5 to 7 minutes until cooked through. Discard any excess grease after cooking.
  • In a stockpot, combine 6 cups of water and brown rice. Add in browned beef, bones, and rosemary. Bring it to a boil, then simmer on medium-low heat for about 45 minutes, stirring occasionally to avoid burning. Adjust consistency by adding water to keep it slightly thicker than a porridge.
  • Next, add carrots, spinach, and eggs (with shells) to an electric blender. Blend until smooth and no eggshells remain.
  • Combine the pumpkin with the blended eggs in a bowl until well mixed. Pour the egg mixture into the hot meat mixture and cook for about 5 minutes. Allow it to cool completely for about 30 minutes before serving it to your dog.
