Homemade crunchy pumpkin dog treats with peanut butter and whole wheat flour for happy pups to enjoy and share with friends' dogs.
Ingredients:
  • 2.5 cups whole wheat flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 0.5 cup canned pumpkin
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon water, or more if necessary
Instructions:
  • Assemble all the ingredients.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • In a bowl, mix together flour, eggs, pumpkin, peanut butter, salt, and cinnamon until well combined using a spatula.
  • Transfer the mixture to a work surface and knead it gently with your hands until it begins to come together. Incorporate 1 teaspoon of water at a time (if necessary) to help the dough come together, being careful not to add too much to ensure the dough remains dry and firm.
  • Roll the dough out to a thickness of 1/2 inch.
  • Cut into irresistible 1/2-inch pieces and place on a baking sheet.
  • Bake the dog treats in the preheated oven until they are golden brown and crunchy, for about 40 minutes. Allow them to cool before serving to your furry friend.
