Whip up this organic, grain-free dog food for your furry friend to enjoy the best quality ingredients.
Ingredients:
  • 3 pounds organic carrots
  • 3 pounds organic apples, peeled and cored
  • 4 pounds fresh or frozen green beans, thawed
  • 2 (16 ounce) packages organic frozen blueberries
  • 1 pound organic baby spinach
  • 0.75 cup olive oil, divided
  • 0.75 cup coconut oil, divided
  • 3 pounds 85% organic, grass-fed lean ground beef
  • 2 (15 ounce) cans pumpkin puree
Instructions:
  • Prepare the carrots by washing them and trimming the ends. If using organic carrots, peeling is optional. Cut them into small pieces suitable for chopping in a food processor. Chop the apples, green beans, blueberries, and spinach in the food processor as well. Set everything aside.
  • In a large stockpot over medium heat, warm 1 tablespoon olive oil and 1 tablespoon coconut oil. Saute carrots for about 5 minutes until softened. Add apples, green beans, blueberries, and spinach. Cook on low heat, stirring occasionally, until everything is cooked through, about 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Heat 1 tablespoon each of olive oil and coconut oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir the ground beef until browned and crumbly, about 5 to 7 minutes. Transfer to a stockpot and add pumpkin puree, then mix in the remaining olive oil and coconut oil until well combined. Cover and let cool.
  • Chill for 8 hours or overnight. Portion into airtight bags, removing excess air, and freeze until ready to use.
