Homemade Herb-Infused Butter

Elevate any dish with flavorful homemade herb butter - perfect for bread, steaks, and more!
Ingredients:
  • 3 tablespoons dried oregano
  • 0.5 cup butter
  • 3 cups water
Instructions:
  • Finely grind the dried oregano and measure out 3 tablespoons.
  • In a saucepan, melt butter over medium-high heat. Reduce heat to medium-low, add oregano, and pour in water. Simmer gently, stirring every 20 minutes, for about 2 hours until flavors meld. Remove from heat.
  • Wrap cheesecloth over a bowl, securing it with a rubber band. Strain butter mixture through the cheesecloth into the bowl. Squeeze out excess butter from the cheesecloth, ensuring oregano is strained out.
  • Wrap the bowl with aluminum foil and refrigerate until the butter solidifies on top, for approximately 4 hours. Use a knife to divide the butter in half and place it on a plate. Discard the water.
