Homemade Pickling Spice

Create homemade pickling spice blend using classic herbs and spices. Store in a sealed jar for freshness up to a month.
Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons whole mustard seeds
  • 1 tablespoon whole allspice berries
  • 2 teaspoons whole coriander seeds
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes, or more to taste
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 2 bay leaves, crumbled
  • 2 cinnamon sticks, broken in half
  • 6 whole cloves
Instructions:
  • Prepare all your delicious ingredients.
  • Combine mustard seeds, allspice berries, coriander seeds, and pepper flakes in a small glass jar with a secure lid.
  • Combine by shaking, then add ginger to the jar, seal, and shake once more.
  • Combine crumbled bay leaves, halved cinnamon sticks, and cloves in the jar. Seal and give it one final shake to mix well.
  • Transfer the mixture to an airtight jar and keep for a month.
