Crispy homemade tater tots with fluffy potatoes and aromatic parsley - a nostalgic childhood favorite made simple and delicious!
Ingredients:
  • 2 medium russet potatoes, peeled
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon seasoned pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 cups peanut oil
Instructions:
  • Add potatoes to a large pot and cover with water, then bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until tender, approximately 10 minutes. Drain and allow to cool until easily handled, around 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Grate potatoes with a box grater and squeeze out excess water. Combine shredded potatoes with parsley, flour, salt, seasoned pepper, and onion powder in a large mixing bowl. Shape mixture into 1-inch long potato nuggets.
  • Preheat oil in a deep fryer or large saucepan to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) until hot.
  • Gently place a few potato nuggets into the hot oil. Fry until they are beautifully golden and crispy, which should take 3 to 4 minutes. Remove them and let them drain on a paper towel-lined plate. Repeat with the rest of the nuggets.
