Create delicious homemade wine with sugar, juice concentrate, and yeast in a gallon jug sealed with a balloon.
Ingredients:
  • 4 cups sugar
  • 1 (12 fluid ounce) can frozen juice concentrate - any flavor except citrus, thawed
  • 1 (.25 ounce) package active dry yeast
  • 3.5 quarts cold water, or as needed
Instructions:
  • Prepare all your flavorful ingredients for a culinary masterpiece.
  • In a 1-gallon jug, mix together sugar, juice concentrate, and yeast. Fill the jug with cold water and give it a good shake until the sugar is dissolved and everything is fully combined.
  • Wash a large balloon thoroughly, then stretch it over the jug opening and secure it with a rubber band.
  • Allow the jug to rest in a cool, dim area. Within 24 hours, observe the balloon beginning to inflate as the sugar transforms into alcohol, leading to the release of gases that will fill the balloon.
  • The wine is ready to drink after the balloon deflates, which usually takes about 6 weeks.
