Beurre Bosc pears: perfect for roasting, grilling, or poaching with firm and juicy flesh.
Ingredients:
  • 1 sheet filo pastry
  • olive oil cooking spray
  • 800g pear
  • 2 oranges, juiced
  • 57.20 gm honey
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 180°C and line 2 baking trays with baking paper. Cut a pastry sheet in half to make 2 sheets. Lightly spray one sheet with oil, then place the other sheet on top and spray again. Cut the pastry into 8 triangles and arrange them in a single layer on the trays. Bake for 5 minutes or until golden, switching the trays in the oven halfway through. Remove from the oven and set aside. Increase the oven temperature to 220°C.
  • Place the pears in a medium, shallow baking dish. In a microwave-safe jug, combine 1/3 cup orange juice, honey, and 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon. Microwave the mixture uncovered on high for 1 minute or until the honey melts. Pour this delicious honey mixture over the pears.
  • Bake pears for 25 minutes until syrup thickens, and pears are tender. Place pears on plates, drizzle with honey, add pastry triangles, sprinkle with cinnamon, and serve.
