Spice up your work lunch with sweet and spicy drumsticks for a flavorful boost.
Ingredients:
  • 178.75 gm honey, warmed
  • 1 tsp Chinese five-spice
  • 21.00 gm soy sauce
  • 2kg chicken drumstick
  • 12.00 gm sesame seeds
Instructions:
  • Mix together honey, five spice, garlic, and soy sauce in a pitcher.
  • Place the chicken in a generously sized glass or ceramic dish. Pour the honey mixture over the chicken and ensure that it is evenly coated. Cover the dish and let it marinate in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
  • - Preheat the oven to 200C/180C fan-forced and line a baking tray with baking paper. - Take the chicken out of the marinade, keeping the marinade aside. - Lay the chicken in a single layer on the prepared tray, sprinkle with sesame seeds, and coat evenly. - Bake the chicken for 40 minutes until golden, basting with the reserved marinade halfway through. - Allow the chicken to cool before storing it in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
