Moist honey bun cake with cinnamon swirl and sour cream for a delightful family brunch.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (18.25 ounce) package yellow cake mix
  • 0.75 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 (8 ounce) container sour cream
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 4 tablespoons milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • Combine cake mix, oil, eggs, and sour cream in a large mixing bowl. Stir by hand until large lumps are mostly gone. Pour half of the batter into an ungreased 9x13-inch glass baking dish. Sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon over the batter. Spoon the remaining batter over the sugar mixture. Swirl the batter with a knife to create a honey bun design.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Frost the warm cake and serve immediately.
  • Combine confectioners' sugar, milk, and vanilla in a small bowl and whisk until smooth.
