Indulge in a scrumptious cinnamon honeybun cake made with yellow cake mix, cinnamon, and sweet icing.
Ingredients:
  • 0.75 cup milk
  • 1 (18.25 ounce) package yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 4 eggs
  • 0.75 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 3 cups confectioners' sugar
Instructions:
  • - Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C) and grease a 9x13-inch cake pan.
  • Combine cake mix, buttermilk, eggs, vegetable oil, and baking soda in a bowl, mixing until fully incorporated. Transfer the batter into the prepared pan.
  • Combine brown sugar and cinnamon in a separate bowl. Spoon the mixture onto the cake batter in various spots. Swirl the cinnamon-sugar into the batter gently with a spoon to create beautiful streaks and ribbons. Avoid overmixing.
  • Bake the cake in a preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Take it out of the oven and use a table knife to poke holes all over the cake.
  • Combine confectioners' sugar, milk, and vanilla in a bowl and whisk until a smooth, runny icing forms. Drizzle the icing generously over the warm cake, letting it seep into the holes. Allow the cake to cool for about 30 minutes before enjoying.
