Pan-fried Brussels sprouts with honey-soy glaze and crispy bacon - a delicious savory-sweet side dish.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cube chicken bouillon
  • 1 (16 ounce) package frozen Brussels sprouts
  • 0.5 pound smoked bacon, diced
  • 1 large onion, minced
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 0.5 cup raisins
  • 3 tablespoons pine nuts
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
Instructions:
  • Bring a pot of boiling water to life with a savory bouillon cube. Introduce Brussels sprouts and simmer until tender, around 10 minutes. Drain the deliciousness.
  • Cook bacon in a large skillet over medium-high heat until golden brown on all sides, approximately 10 minutes. Remove bacon to a paper towel-lined plate, keeping the delicious bacon drippings in the skillet.
  • Sautee onions in bacon drippings until soft, about 10 minutes. Pour in honey and soy sauce, cook until bubbling, 1 to 2 minutes. Add Brussels sprouts, bacon, raisins, and pine nuts; cook until sprouts are warm and coated, 3 to 5 minutes. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top before serving.
