Ingredients:
  • 4 fresh figs
  • 28.80 gm honey
  • 20.00 gm cold butter, cut into 4 pieces
  • 20.00 gm water
  • Vanilla ice cream, to serve
  • 28.75 gm walnuts, chopped & roasted, to serve
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 200C. Remove the stems from the figs, then place them in a baking pan with the stem-side up. Carefully cut a cross into the top of each fig, being sure not to cut all the way through.
  • Drizzle the figs with honey, add a piece of butter on top, and bake until they blossom, for 8 to 10 minutes. Remove from the oven.
  • Plate the figs and generously sprinkle them with chopped walnuts for a delightful presentation.
  • Pour the water into the pan and place it back in the oven for 1 minute to create a sauce. Stir the sauce and drizzle it over the warmed figs. Serve with a side of vanilla ice cream.
