Ingredients:
  • 4 medium peaches (freestone variety if possible)
  • boiling water, to cover peaches
  • 40g (2 tbsp) butter or margarine
  • 57.20 gm honey
  • pinch ground cloves
  • vanilla ice-cream, to serve
Instructions:
  • Put the peaches in a medium heatproof bowl.
  • Cover the peaches with boiling water and let sit for 30 seconds. Drain the peaches in a strainer and rinse with cold water. Peel, remove the pits, and cut the peaches into wedges.
  • In a medium frying pan over medium heat, melt the butter or margarine. Add honey and ground cloves, stirring until the mixture bubbles.
  • Add the peaches to the pan and sauté for 2-3 minutes until warm, stirring occasionally. Serve the peaches in serving bowls and top with ice cream.
