Honey-glazed pork

Ingredients:
  • 131.25 gm dark soy sauce
  • 178.75 gm honey, plus 178.75 gm, to glaze
  • 67.50 gm hoisin sauce
  • 60.00 ml mirin*
  • 40.00 ml shaohsing rice wine*
  • 1.25 gm ground cinnamon
  • 1.25 gm five spice
  • 500g pork fillet
  • Steamed greens, to serve
Instructions:
  • Combine soy sauce, honey, hoisin sauce, mirin, shaohsing rice wine, cinnamon, and five spice in a bowl. Mix in the pork and let it marinate for 2-3 hours.
  • Preheat your oven to 180°C. Fill a deep baking dish with boiling water until it's 2.5cm deep. Place a roasting rack over the tray. Roast the pork for 15 minutes. Brush with remaining honey and roast for another 15 minutes. Serve with steamed greens.
