Crispy almond milk battered cauliflower wings tossed in vegan hot sauce 'butter' for a perfect balance of crunchy and spicy.
Ingredients:
  • 1 small head cauliflower, broken into small florets
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups almond milk, or as needed
  • 0.5 cup bread crumbs, or as needed
  • 2 ounces vegan margarine (such as Earth Balance®)
  • 1 (8 ounce) bottle hot pepper sauce (such as Frank's RedHot®)
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to a toasty 450 degrees F (230 degrees C) and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Combine the flour, paprika, salt, and pepper until well blended. Gradually stir in almond milk until a slightly thick and soupy consistency forms.
  • Coat cauliflower pieces in batter, then roll in bread crumbs before placing on the prepared cookie sheet.
  • Bake in the oven until golden brown, about 15 to 20 minutes.
  • While the wings are baking, melt margarine and whisk it together with hot sauce.
  • Lower the oven temperature to 425°F (220°C). Dip the 'wings' into the sauce, return them to the cookie sheet, and bake for an additional 10 to 15 minutes. Serve hot.
