Spicy gochujang cauliflower bites, a vegetarian twist on hot wings. Cauliflower florets are coated in a fiery sauce and air fried for a crispy finish.
Ingredients:
  • 2 pounds cauliflower florets (8 cups)
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt, divided
  • 1/2 cup cayenne-infused honey (such as Mike’s Hot Honey)
  • 3 tablespoons gochujang (Korean hot pepper paste)
  • 1 tablespoon packed brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon less-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon minced fresh ginger
  • 2 green onions, sliced (1/4 cup), plus more for garnish
Instructions:
  • Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) following the manufacturer's guidelines. Coat cauliflower florets with oil and 1/2 teaspoon salt in a large bowl.
  • Arrange the cauliflower bites in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are evenly spaced. Air fry until golden brown and tender, flipping halfway through cooking, for about 10 minutes.
  • In a small saucepan, combine honey, gochujang, brown sugar, soy sauce, lemon juice, ginger, black pepper, and remaining 1/4 teaspoon salt. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat and then reduce to low. Simmer until the sauce is glossy and thickened, approximately 5 minutes. Add green onions and stir.
  • Place the steaming hot cauliflower bites into a spacious bowl. Pour in 1/2 cup of the flavorful sauce and mix well to ensure every piece is coated. Serve promptly with the extra sauce and sprinkle with more fresh green onions for an extra burst of flavor.
