Air fried Korean fried chicken with spicy gochujang tomato sauce.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup tapioca starch
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.75 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 4 ounces tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons gochujang (Korean hot pepper paste)
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
Instructions:
  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a shallow dish, mix tapioca starch, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Coat chicken pieces in the mixture.
  • Prepare the baking sheet by lining it with a cooling rack. Allow excess dredge to fall off the chicken onto the rack. Lightly coat the chicken with cooking spray before placing it in the air fryer basket.
  • Air fry for 10 minutes in preheated air fryer, remembering to shake the basket halfway through.
  • Mix together the tomato sauce, gochujang sauce, honey, and soy sauce in a small bowl, then generously pour over the chicken pieces.
