Festive hot chocolate cookie cups filled with decadent ganache and Nutella® for a delightful holiday treat.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • baking spray with flour
  • 1 (16.5 ounce) package refrigerated cookie dough (such as Pillsbury®)
  • 3 tablespoons chocolate-hazelnut spread (such as Nutella®)
  • 1 (10 ounce) package miniature marshmallows
  • colorful sprinkles
  • 1 cup mini pretzels
Instructions:
  • Heat heavy cream in a microwave-safe measuring cup in 10-second intervals until warm to the touch, being careful not to scald yourself.
  • In a medium mixing bowl, drop chocolate chips, then drizzle warm cream over them without mixing. Cover and let it sit until chocolate chips are fully melted, approximately 30 minutes.
  • Uncover the ganache and whisk vigorously until silky smooth. If any chocolate chips remain unmelted, warm in the microwave in 5-second bursts. Allow the ganache to cool as you prepare the cookie cups.
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and generously coat a mini muffin tin with baking spray, ensuring every corner is covered.
  • Add a chilled cookie dough piece to each muffin cup's center.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until edges turn golden brown, for about 16-18 minutes. Remove cookie cups from pan onto a cooling rack and cool for 1 minute.
  • Carefully invert the cookie cups to ensure they are upright. Handle them delicately as they are fragile. If the centers of the cookies remain puffed after baking, lightly press down with a small cookie scoop, melon baller, or your thumb to create indentations. Let them cool completely.
  • Using an icing spreader, gently spread a small amount of the ganache into the center of the cookie cups. Top with chocolate-hazelnut spread, press in a few mini marshmallows, and scatter sprinkles over the top.
  • Break off the pretzels to create a 'handle' shape. Dip each end into ganache and press onto the sides of the cookie cups. Allow the ganache to firm up to secure the handles in place.
