Easy and cheesy hot ham and cheese sliders - a crowd-pleasing lunch ready in under 30 minutes.
Ingredients:
  • For the compound butter
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 teaspoons minced shallots
  • 2 teaspoons chopped parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • For the sandwiches
  • 1 (12-count package) Hawaiian slider rolls
  • 1/2 pound sliced Swiss cheese, about 12 slices
  • 1/2 pound thin-sliced deli ham
Instructions:
  • Heat your oven to 375°F.
  • Make the compound butter: Mix butter, mustard, shallots, parsley, salt, and black pepper in a small bowl using a fork. Set aside for later use.
  • Slice the slider buns in half horizontally using a serrated knife, keeping the tops and bottoms connected.
  • Prepare the sliders by placing the bottom buns on a sheet pan, layering half of the Swiss cheese on each bun. Add the ham, then top with the remaining cheese and bun tops. Spread the softened compound butter generously over the slider tops.
  • Bake the sliders: Cover loosely with foil and bake for 10 minutes. Uncover and bake for an additional 5 minutes until crispy and golden brown on top. Cool slightly before serving.
  • Enjoy the sliders: Tear or cut them and serve while warm.
  • To store leftovers, tightly cover the sliders and refrigerate, where they will keep for up to 3 days. When ready to enjoy again, reheat each slider in the microwave for 30 seconds, adding 15 seconds for each additional slider.
