Master the art of cutting mangoes with our foolproof method. Follow our visual guide and savor perfectly sliced mango in no time.
Ingredients:
  • 1 mango, ripe but firm
Instructions:
  • Remove the sides from the pit: Stand the mango upright with the stem side down. Use a sharp knife to slice along each side of the pit to separate the flesh from the pit. You will have two halves and a middle section containing the pit.
  • Score the mango flesh: Cut lengthwise and then crosswise on a mango half without slicing through the skin. Flip the mango half inside out to reveal the beautiful cut segments resembling a hedgehog.
  • Separate the segments: Simply peel the segments off the peel with your fingers or use a small paring knife to cut them away.
  • Prepare the mango: Lay the mango piece flat on the cutting board, then carefully remove the pit and peel using a paring knife. Enjoy the extra mango around the pit if desired. Share your feedback with a rating and review!
