  • 2 cups water
  • 2 (3-inch) cinnamon sticks
  • 1 cup uncooked white rice
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 (12-ounce) canevaporated milk
  • 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • ground cinnamon, to garnish
Instructions:
  • Assemble all the ingredients.
  • In a medium saucepan, bring water and cinnamon sticks to a boil.
  • Bring the mixture to a gentle boil, then lower the heat, cover the pot, and let it simmer for about 5 minutes until the cinnamon infuses its color and flavor.
  • Place the rice into the pot and bring it to a boil. Then lower the heat, cover the pot, and let it simmer until the rice is tender and has absorbed all the water, which should take about 20 minutes.
  • Combine whole milk, evaporated milk, and sweetened condensed milk in the pot. Simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture reaches your preferred thickness, about 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Sprinkle each serving with ground cinnamon before enjoying warm or cold.
