How to make gravy

Create a delectable gravy with roasted pan drippings.
Ingredients:
  • 30g butter
  • 40.00 ml plain flour
  • 125.00 gm white wine
  • 510.00 gm chicken stock
Instructions:
  • Discard extra drippings from the roasting pan, keeping 1/2 cup. Then, melt butter in the pan over medium heat.
  • Cook the flour for 3 minutes, stirring constantly and making sure to scrape off any crispy bits, until the mixture turns a lovely light brown color.
  • Take the mixture off the heat and gently pour in the wine followed by the stock while stirring constantly. Place it back on the heat, stirring until the gravy starts boiling. Lower the heat and let it simmer for 5 to 7 minutes until the gravy thickens.
