Delicate Hungarian pizzelle with light anise flavor, made with less flour for a thin texture.
Ingredients:
  • 0.75 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3 eggs
  • 0.75 cup white sugar
  • 0.75 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon anise extract
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
  • Preheat the pizzelle iron as directed by the manufacturer.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine sugar and eggs, then use an electric mixer to whisk until smooth. Mix in butter, anise extract, and vanilla extract until fully incorporated. Gradually add flour and baking powder, beating until a smooth batter forms.
  • Using a spoon, place a dollop of batter onto the hot iron. Bake until golden, approximately 45 seconds. Gently transfer the pizzelle to a cooling rack to cool.
