Indulge in a comforting Hungarian classic - túrós csusza. A delicious blend of crispy bacon, egg noodles, sour cream, and cottage cheese.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (16 ounce) package egg noodles
  • 3.5 slices smoked bacon
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • 1 (12 ounce) container cottage cheese
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • Bring a pot of salted water to a boil, then cook the egg noodles until al dente, about 8 to 10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  • Fry bacon in a large skillet over medium-high heat, flipping occasionally, until uniformly crispy, for approximately 10 minutes. Place on paper towels to absorb excess oil, then crumble and keep aside.
  • Layer the drained noodles in a large baking dish, fold in sour cream until fully incorporated, spread cottage cheese evenly over the noodles, sprinkle with crumbled bacon, and season with salt.
  • Bake until the cottage cheese softens in the preheated oven, about 3 to 5 minutes.
