Ingredients:
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 1/2 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup baking cocoa
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups white baking chips
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  • Combine sugars, butter, shortening, vanilla, and eggs in a large bowl. Mix in flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt. Fold in white baking chips and nuts.
  • Scoop dough using a rounded tablespoon onto an ungreased cookie sheet, making sure to space them 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until just set. Allow to cool briefly, then transfer from the cookie sheet to a wire rack to cool completely.
