Fig dipped in chocolate or toffee for a perfectly sweet treat inside and out.
Ingredients:
  • 50g Green & Black's Organic Bittersweet Dark Chocolate with 70% Cocoa Solids, broken into squares
  • 6 fresh ripe figs, washed, dried
  • 100g caster sugar
Instructions:
  • Melt the chocolate in a heatproof bowl set over a medium saucepan of simmering water, stirring with a metal spoon until smooth. Be careful not to let the bowl touch the water.
  • Gently hold a fig by the stem and dip three-quarters of it into the chocolate, ensuring it's fully coated. Place it on a plate lined with non-stick baking paper. Repeat this process with two more figs. Let them sit for 5 minutes, then chill in the fridge for another 5 minutes to set.
  • In a saucepan, heat the sugar over medium-low heat until it turns golden while stirring, about 4-5 minutes. Remove from heat. Take a fig by the stem, dip three-quarters of it into the toffee, and coat it evenly. Place on a plate lined with non-stick baking paper. Repeat with two more figs. Let them set for 10 minutes. Transfer the figs to a serving platter to enjoy.
