Instant Pot® Asian street tacos featuring flavorful beef cooked in soy sauce, brown sugar, and ginger.
Ingredients:
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 0.5 onion, sliced
  • 10 cloves garlic, diced
  • 1 (1 inch) piece ginger root, peeled and grated
  • 2 tablespoons seasoned rice vinegar
  • 3 pounds chuck roast, trimmed and cut into several large pieces
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar
  • 0.33333334326744 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon chile-garlic paste
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
Instructions:
  • Begin by heating up your multi-functional pressure cooker like an Instant Pot® on the Saute function. Next, toss in the butter and onion and cook until they become soft, which should take around 5 minutes. Introduce the garlic and ginger, cooking until they release their lovely aromas, about 30 seconds longer. Proceed to deglaze the pot by adding vinegar and scraping the bottom. Then, add in the chuck pieces, brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, chile-garlic paste, salt, and black pepper.
  • Secure and seal the lid, ensuring the vent is closed. Choose high pressure based on manufacturer's directions, then set the timer for 45 minutes. Give it 10 to 15 minutes for pressure to build up.
  • Once cooking is complete, quickly release pressure following the manufacturer's guidelines for about 5 minutes. Unlock the lid and shred the beef.
