Effortlessly cook a delicious holiday ham in your Instant Pot™. Opt for boneless ham for convenience and savings. The secret sauce, with butter, brown sugar, Dijon, Worcestershire, and cayenne, creates a flavorful and buttery glaze for your ham. Let your Instant Pot™ do the work while you relax and enjoy the company.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup Progresso™ chicken broth (from 32-oz carton)
  • 1 (2 1/2 to 3 lb) boneless ham, unsliced
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper (cayenne)
Instructions:
  • Prepare the Instant Pot™ by lightly greasing it and adding broth to the insert. Place the rack in the bottom of the insert. Make 12 small cuts in the ham, making sure to leave the bottom 1/2 inch intact. Gently place the ham on the rack, cut side facing up.
  • Ensure lid is secure and pressure valve is set to SEALING. Pressure cook on high for 15 minutes. Cancel the cooking program. Set pressure valve to VENTING to manually release pressure. Use an instant-read thermometer to ensure internal temperature of the ham (uncut portion) at the bottom center is at least 140°F. If ham is not fully cooked, pressure cook on high for an additional 3 minutes. Cancel the program and manually release pressure by setting the valve to VENTING position.
  • Transfer the slightly cooled ham to a cutting board, then delicately slice the ham into desired pieces.
  • Combine melted butter, brown sugar, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, red pepper, and 2 tablespoons of cooking liquid in a small bowl. Serve the ham with the flavorful butter sauce.
