Make irresistibly delicious homemade pumpkin puree effortlessly in the Instant Pot for the best flavor and smoothness.
Ingredients:
  • 1 sugar pumpkin
Instructions:
  • Add water to the inner pot of a multi-functional pressure cooker like an Instant Pot, then place the trivet inside.
  • Cut around the pumpkin stem to create a large opening that fits your hand. Remove the stem, seeds, and stringy pieces from inside the pumpkin. Place the pumpkin, cut-side down on the trivet. If the pumpkin is too large for the pot, simply cut it in half and arrange both halves accordingly.
  • Securely seal the lid and set the valve to sealing position. Choose manual mode as per manufacturer's guidelines and program the timer for 12 minutes. Wait for 10 to 15 minutes for pressure to naturally build up.
  • Carefully quick-release pressure following manufacturer's instructions for about 5 minutes. Unlock and remove the lid, then place the pumpkin on a rack to cool until easily handled, around 5 minutes.
  • Transfer the pumpkin flesh to a food processor or blender and puree until smooth.
