Whip up Instant Pot steel cut oats for a hassle-free breakfast all week long.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups steel cut oats
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 6 cups water
Instructions:
  • Preheat a multi-functional pressure cooker (like Instant Pot®) on the sauté function. Heat olive oil for 1 minute, then add oats and cook until toasted, stirring for about 3 minutes.
  • Add a dash of nutmeg and cinnamon, stir vigorously, then blend in water and vanilla extract. Switch off the sauté function.
  • Securely seal the lid and set to high pressure following manufacturer's guidelines. Cook for 15 minutes, letting the pressure naturally release for 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Allow the pressure to naturally release for 10 to 40 minutes following the manufacturer's guidelines.
  • Remove the lid and stir the oatmeal vigorously, ensuring all oats are well mixed, especially those at the bottom of the pot. Serve yourself a delicious 1/2 cup of oatmeal and savor every bite!
