Instant Pot chili with savory ground venison, beans, and tomatoes for a hassle-free, flavorful meal without stovetop mess.
Ingredients:
  • 1.5 pounds ground venison
  • 2 jalapeno peppers, seeded and chopped
  • 2 (15.5 ounce) cans chili beans, undrained
  • 1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 (15.5 ounce) can kidney beans, drained
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 0.25 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon onion powder
Instructions:
  • Preheat a multi-functional pressure cooker (like Instant Pot) on Low Saute setting. Cook venison for 5 minutes, using a spoon to break it up as it cooks. Add onion and jalapeno peppers; continue cooking until softened, about 3 minutes. Turn off Saute mode.
  • Combine chili beans, crushed tomatoes, kidney beans, water, chili powder, cumin, oregano, garlic powder, and onion powder in the pot. Seal the lid securely, then set to high pressure for 20 minutes following the manufacturer's guidelines. Wait for the pressure to build for 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Carefully release pressure using the quick-release method following the manufacturer's instructions for about 5 minutes, then unlock and remove the lid.
