Ingredients:
  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry (from a 17.3-oz package), thawed as directed on package
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 2 leeks, trimmed and finely sliced*
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and unfold the puff pastry onto it. Use a fork to crimp up the edges and form a square shape.
  • Whisk egg and cheese in a small bowl. Spread the cheesy mixture on the pastry base. Top with leek slices and sprinkle with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
  • Bake until leek slices turn golden brown, about 25-30 minutes. Let cool for 1 minute before serving.
