Savory beef chili with beans and tomato juice, perfect for a satisfying dinner, made effortlessly on the stove or in the slow cooker.
Ingredients:
  • 2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 1 (46 fluid ounce) can tomato juice
  • 1 (29 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 (15 ounce) can pinto beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1.5 cups chopped onion
  • 0.25 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 0.25 cup chili powder
  • 1.5 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 0.5 teaspoon white sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 0.125 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
Instructions:
  • Brown and crumble ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat for 5 to 7 minutes. Drain the grease.
  • In a large pot over medium heat, combine the browned beef with tomato juice, tomato sauce, kidney beans, pinto beans, onions, bell pepper, chili powder, cumin, salt, sugar, oregano, ground black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Bring to a boil, then lower the heat and simmer for 1 1/2 hours.
