Italian BBQ Pork Chops

Tender pork chops glazed in a tangy-sweet balsamic BBQ sauce - irresistible and flavorful.
Ingredients:
  • 0.75 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 0.5 cup ketchup
  • 0.25 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • cooking spray
  • 4 (6 ounce) pork loin chops
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Instructions:
  • Combine vinegar, ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, garlic, 1/2 teaspoon each of salt and black pepper in a saucepan. Simmer on medium-low heat for 20 minutes. Let it rest for 5 minutes off the heat before serving.
  • Preheat the grill to medium heat and brush the grate lightly with oil.
  • Season pork chops with a pinch of salt and pepper. Transfer a splash of sauce from the saucepan to a bowl. Glaze chops with sauce from the bowl. Dispose of any excess sauce in the bowl.
  • Grill pork chops until no longer pink in the center, about 5 minutes on each side. Use an instant-read thermometer to ensure internal temperature reaches 145 degrees F (63 degrees C). Let the chops rest for 3 minutes before serving with extra sauce on the side.
