Italian Mixed Grill

Treat your loved ones to a flavorful Italian-inspired feast of grilled sausages, chicken, and beef.
Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup olive or vegetable oil
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh or 1 teaspoon dried rosemary leaves
  • 2 teaspoons chopped fresh or 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
  • 2 large cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 4 fresh Italian sausages (about 1 lb)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 small onion, chopped (1/4 cup)
  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts or thighs (about 1 1/4 lb)
  • 1-lb beef boneless top sirloin steak, about 1 inch thick
Instructions:
  • Combine all the ingredients for the Herbed Lemon Oil in a small bowl. Cover and allow it to sit for at least 1 hour to let the flavors meld together perfectly.
  • Place sausages, water, and onion in a 2-quart microwavable casserole dish. Cover and microwave on High for 5 minutes. Rearrange sausages, re-cover, and microwave on Medium (50%) for 5 to 7 minutes until sausages are cooked through. Remove sausages and discard onion and water.
  • Prepare the grill by brushing the rack with vegetable oil and heating it for direct heat. Brush all sides of the chicken, beef, and sausages with the oil mixture.
  • Grill beef uncovered over medium heat for 5 minutes, brushing frequently with oil mixture and turning occasionally. Add chicken and continue grilling. Grill beef for 12 to 16 minutes for desired doneness. Grill chicken for 15 to 20 minutes until juice is clear when thickest part is cut (170°). Add cooked sausages in the last 5 to 10 minutes of grilling to brown.
