Grilled Italian Sausages with Pasta and Vegetables

Elevate your BBQ game with grilled meat and veggies mixed with pasta!
Ingredients:
  • 1 1/4 pounds Italian sausage links (4 or 5 links)
  • 2 large bell peppers, cut lengthwise into fourths
  • 3/4 cup Italian dressing
  • 2 cups uncooked penne pasta (6 ounces)
  • 4 plum (Roma) tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh or 1/2 teaspoon dried basil leaves
Instructions:
  • Preheat grill for direct heat. Grill sausages over medium heat, turning occasionally, for 15 to 20 minutes until fully cooked.
  • Coat bell pepper pieces generously with 2 tablespoons of the dressing, then grill for the last 10 minutes of cooking time, turning them frequently until they are crisp-tender.
  • Cook the pasta according to the package instructions, then drain it.
  • Slice sausages into 1/2-inch pieces and cut bell peppers into 1 1/2-inch pieces. Combine with pasta, tomatoes, and dressing. Finish by garnishing with fresh basil.
